Internal derangement right shoulder, depression, fractured sternum, rib fractures, tibia fracture-- $560,000 settlement

A 70 year-old man sustained a dislocated right shoulder that aggravated a pre-existing partial tear to his right shoulder.  In addition, he had thirteen rib fractures, a fractured sternum, and a tibia fracture.  During his initial recovery period, he suffered from depression brought on by the magnititude of the injuries.

He opted not to have surgery on the right shoulder based on the uncertainty that it would improve his situation.  The shoulder injury significantly restricted his ability to lift his right arm.  The client's rib fractures, sternum, and right tibia fracture healed without any disability.   The depression lifted as he began to make progress with his recovery.

Awarded: Shoulder injury, multiple fractures, depression -- $560,000 settlement
