Peroneal nerve injury to left leg from gunshot - $300,000 settlement

A 59 year old man received injuries to his lower left leg when his hunting friend discharged his shotgun while trying to unload the weapon.  The friend's homeowner's insurance covered the loss which included damage to the peroneal nerve near the left knee.  This resulted in a foot drop and the need to wear a brace in his shoe.  The insurance company paid its full limit of coverage -- $300,000.
