Scalp burns from hair bleach - confidential settlement
Client, a teenager from Elyria, Ohio sustained second and third degree burns to the crown of her head after her hairdresser applied a bleach product and placed her under a hair dryer. The teen complained that it felt like the top of her head was on fire. Burns destroyed the skin and hair follicles, leading to four surgeries to reduce the size of the bald spot on her head. A lawsuit was filed against the hairdresser and the manufacturer of the product.
